Privacy

Last updated: 25 August 2026

This site is run by Mauritius Experiences. This page sets out what is collected, why, and how to have it removed. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

The short version

No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking. No selling of personal data, ever. The only personal data collected is what you type into a form yourself.

Analytics

Visits are measured with TrackTrendy, a privacy-first analytics tool that is cookieless and does not fingerprint or profile visitors. It records aggregate figures such as page views, referrer and country. None of it identifies you, and no consent banner is needed because no personal data is processed.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is stored by SendMerlin in order to send you the newsletter and nothing else. Subscription is double opt-in: you receive a confirmation email and nothing is sent until you click it. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list. Your address is never shared, sold or rented.

Contact form

Messages sent through the contact form are stored so they can be answered. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving alternative to CAPTCHA that does not track users across sites.

Hosting and logs

The site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes standard server request data, including IP addresses, for security and delivery. That is a technical necessity of serving a website and it is retained only briefly.

What is not here

No advertising networks. No Meta pixel or Google Ads remarketing tags. No social media tracking pixels. Links to Instagram and Facebook are ordinary links, and those sites apply their own policies once you land there.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data held about you, and to withdraw consent at any time. Mauritius has equivalent protections under its Data Protection Act 2017. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. Requests are actioned within 30 days and there is no charge.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date above changes and the change is described here rather than made quietly.
